Excellent kitchen tool after sharpening

Not very sharp from the factory but well finished. After proper sharpening, it absolutely glides over food. Good blade geometry and a good piece of steel for kitchen knives. Correctly thin blade and, as already mentioned, fantastic sharpness that makes working in the kitchen a real pleasure.

Unbelievable price, suitable for kitchen and dining room

I have used this knife for many years. I always leave a surplus to give to people I like. This knife will do almost anything you need it to do. Picks up the edge and holds it very well. With this cleaver, paring knife and bread knife, you don't need anything else. Above all, you don't have to spend a lot of money on fancy knives.

bought one for my mother

So I make knives for a hobby and use this brand in my work, my mother was looking for a new Chinese cleaver so I thought perfect maybe this One will work for her so it arrived and exceeded all expectations perfect size great design durable and razor sharp moms are very happy i dont have to make a knife for her and i expect her to snip and snip contentedly for years to come .

not very well made, but high-quality steel

I only got it a few days ago. I love this pen style. The edges on the spine and bead area are a little sharp so the finish needs a bit of improvement but with a little sharpening and smoothing I feel this knife would make a good addition to my collection. Still great for delicate veggies (I sharpened before use. Out of the box sharpness isn't impressive but it's a good quality steel for the job)

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Upgradable

the best knife in the kitchen and dining room

This is the best knife. I've been a chef for 30 years and have had knives of all brands, and I've only used this knife for 15 years. Even the Japanese foldable steel versions aren't that good. I only use this knife, the paring knife and the boning knife. Sharpen with diamond steel and it stays as sharp as the day you bought it. And leave a toolbox full of very expensive knives at home. Where they sit for years. Of course, this knife takes a lot of work every day and I buy a new one for $30…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

The best is made here in the USA by Dexter

Oddly enough. I have tried many Chinese chef's knives. The best of these are made right here in the USA by Dexter. I have three different ones (width and thickness) and this one is my favorite due to its extreme thinness. Dexter Russell is the hardest working brand in restaurant kitchens. This is a high carbon stainless steel that will hold an edge very well if not abused. Of course, many chefs and cooks are happy to spend big bucks on fashion brands. The Dexter product gives you 95% profit for

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • There are downsides

Damn. When I received it I was surprised at how light it was and a bit disappointed with the factory sharpening. I have run and hardened it over my rough and thin rock and am absolutely amazed at how sharp and nimble this knife is. I've been returning the thin steel blade after each use and wringing it out since I've had it and am amazed at how fun it is to use and how well the blade has held up. A few notes: It works amazing. suitable for softer vegetables, maybe better than any of my other…

Pros
  • Nice looking

Cool knife, not a cleaver! Shish!

Everyone needs something like this. Point. Illiterates who gave it a low score cannot read the sticker on the knife stating that it cannot be used as a cleaver. Or a caption on a product image that says "NOT FOR SHAPING". too bad for her. By the way, it doesn't look like a hatchet, but like a chef's knife without a point, which it is. I used this knife every day for three years in a restaurant to THIN slice everything from cabbage to carrots. This is absolutely the best knife for it. If you…
