They are very sharp out of the box and hold up well. I wash them by hand and keep them in the knife block. I am looking for a longer set because they are too short to cut large tomatoes.

They use great knives all the time. if you need to sharpen them, which you will do after about 3 months depending on how often you use them. The serrated DMT knife sharpener does a great job of cutting and keeping them sharp.
