Description of πŸ€– DFRobot Romeo V2 - a Robot Board with Motor Driver for Arduino Leonardo

Romeo V2 [R3] is an All-in-One robot board for Arduino, it is especially designed for robotics applications, and extended devices. Romeo benefits from the open source platform, it is supported by thousands of open source projects, and can easily be expanded with Arduino Shields. The integrated 2 way DC motor driver and Xbee socket allows you to start your project immediatly without the need for an additional motor driver or wireless shield. Another improvement of Romeo V2 is that it supports stepper motor control

Great, but I would recommend having some experience with the Arduino

Great but I would recommend having some experience with the Arduino. I was looking for something to reduce all the extra components like engine shields and such. This suited my purpose very well. I'm not sure how a newbie to robotics could use this. With little experience, this is child's play.

Pros
  • . Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Null

Great board for computers and accessories

This board is great for projects that require multiple motors and sensors. The layout and documentation make coding easy. Good product!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

its worth it. Electronics

Romeo is great for almost any RC/Robot project. All pins break nicely with force and shields can be stolen. Based on Leonardo, so no need to remove xbee to program. Although I haven't used the buttons on the board, they can easily be used for menu functions. 2x2A built-in motor controller is a grid. Save space on the whole project. This is a good MPU from someone who is just a beginner to a pro. I have two Romeos running my spy tanks. No problem.

Pros
  • Excellent performance
Cons
  • The list will go on.

I received two marriages from an excellent board.

I really enjoyed using them as long as they really worked! But after the first start it was no longer recognized as a device. All signs pointed to Romeo's malfunction. I bought another one and had the same problem except this time it never worked. I received two defective units, but the seller refunded both of them, so I was able to quickly purchase an Arduino for my project. I wish I was lucky enough to use Romeo because while it worked, my project was a lot easier.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Update Availability

Great board but it could easily be a lot better.

A great board at first glance. It has many outstanding features like a row of three male contacts for each female pin from D0 to D13. This makes it very easy to connect the female connector wires to the board. It also has six programmable buttons and an external power supply for the servo motors. It has an integrated motor controller that uses only two pins per motor for control and gets motor power from an external connector. The board is based on the Arduino Leonardo, not the UNO, which…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some problems
