💦 UL5500 115V 1150 Cooler Pump by Dial Review

This pump has lasted two years, don't expect more from them. They only get hard water from splashing around them and it would be wise to only have a spare supply so you don't have an emergency. I'm not saying it's a bad pump, just that you can expect a year or two from it.

This was the worst sump cooler pump I have ever bought. I typically run a pump for two years or more, but this one hasn't even lasted a month after installation (actually probably only 10 days of use). We noticed an unpleasant burning smell today and quickly determined it was coming from the vents on our swamp cooler. I was sure the fan motor had stalled, but it was a cheap, useless pump. STAY AWAY

I bought this pump for a cool box and after about a month it just stopped working. I asked the manufacturer to replace it for me (I offered to return the one I bought). Since they didn't want to replace the product, I asked them to refund my money. They also refused to do so! Either it was an inferior product, or maybe I got a "lemon". But I am very unhappy that the manufacturer did nothing to correct us, the buyer!

It has been running on my cool box for a few weeks now without any problems. Let's see what results a few seasons will give. This unit comes with a standard 3 pin 120v plug which seems to fit some coolers but not mine. I had to crimp some of the spade connectors on my old cooler's power cord and this cord, and then insulate those connections.
