Bought to modify some glass containers for a Cold Drip Coffee Tower I built myself. The basic process I followed for cutting involved: - using a water filled soda bottle with a small hole to automatically lubricate as you cut - then gluing to a piece of plywood with a drill sized hole to start cutting. - And apply a little force when cutting and rotate the drill bit slightly. And I am very happy with the quality of the cuts I received for the cost these drill bits cost! I had no cracks or chips

Great bit set for the price

I can recommend it to everyone! Like most people here I was looking for something to drill drainage holes to turn dishes into planters. I have a pack of Black & Decker masonry bits (not hole cutters) that didn't work as I had hoped. This was the most reasonable option I found in terms of bits/cost, so I decided to give it a try. So glad I did. They are much faster than the bits I've used with good size options as needed. I've used the same drill bit to drill a few dozen holes in porcelain…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

However, they work well.

I bought these to drill extra holes in my clay/ceramic/terracotta pots. They work very well when used properly. I've seen some reviews saying they wear out quickly, but I suspect water was never used as a lubricant/coolant with them. Friction generates heat, which leads to wear; That's why it's important to use water and not run the drill at high speed. That's what I do. I have some clay I'm laying around where I plan to drill a hole and create a "wall" around the area; Just squeeze the clay…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
