Bargain Holesaws & Accessories

I installed some handrails in my shower for tiles. The tiles are very hard and I had to use diamond drill bits to drill holes. These bits work fine. They don't last long, but I'm not sure any bits will. You will go through several of them, so buying a pack of 10 and just using them is great. I think I could drill about 1.5 holes per bit. Helps to channel water through the bit while drilling and use some sort of drill guide. Would definitely buy them again if I had to drill through a tile.

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • Unreliable

Huge bang for your buck. Great disposable bits.

I was skeptical about these cheap beats because of all the negative reviews but they did a wonderful job. As long as there is a steady stream of water flowing through the hole, you should be fine. I hung a bag of water over where I was drilling and punched a hole in the bag so the drops would fall directly onto the tip of the drill. I drilled 4 holes in incredibly hard 3/8" porcelain and noticed the drill was starting to dull, so I replaced it with a new one and drilled the 2 holes you see in…

(I think) less than a packet or two of the above items. I was drilling porcelain tile for an unfinished bathroom toilet flange and was taking a hell of a long time to drill the holes. I spent a good hour there drilling porcelain and firing these pieces. Good luck with pressure and a slow bit, but the tips
