Originally thought to be rubbish, but it's GREAT

This is nonsense, at least that's what I thought at first, but the initial analysis was due to my ignorance. I'm a jack of all trades, but I'm not a master of anything. First I tried to cut the tile by pressing the drill bit against the tile. ERROR>. You should hold the chisel at a 45 degree angle to the cut, then straighten the chisel and swing in a circle. I was able to make 10 cuts with a drill with a Dewalt 18v cordless drill and could probably make 10 more. For the money, GREAT…

Pros
  • 【WIDE USAGE】 15 different drill bits are included in this glass drill bit set to meet different needs. Ideal for drilling glass, tiles, porcelain stoneware, ceramic tiles, brick and stone.
Cons
  • Some errors

Good price, works, there are very large sizes in the set

They worked perfectly and didn't cost that much for a set of 15. I was able to drill 12 holes in large porcelain flower pots in about 45 minutes using a ½ inch deep portable drill bit with a ½ inch drill bit. I started slowly at an angle of about 30 degrees at a speed of about 10-20 rpm, gradually approaching vertical. After the tack I was able to accelerate to around 200-300 rpm but kept the cut wet and paused every 30-45 seconds to keep the bit cool. I believe the wobble that others complain…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great as a tool, not a family heirloom

These cheap hole saws live up to expectations. I bought four different sets of these tools and they all worked as expected: I made at least one cut. Some of them have pleasantly surprised me with four or five cuts when cutting ceramic tile, while others have made one cut in granite and gone in the trash with no regrets. Just don't expect to pass them on to your sons and daughters and you will be satisfied. As mentioned, it's very important that the work surface is damp (the sprayer and helper…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tools

They fit but you need water

When renovating a bathroom I used the smallest to poke some holes in a very large tile. They heat up very quickly, which is to be expected, so you'll need a product to keep them moist. If you keep your hole saw blade wet (and therefore cool) they work very well. I was able to make about 9 holes until the bit I was using wore through the abrasive. For $9 this kit was more than satisfactory, but if I hadn't kept the blade cool it probably wouldn't have worked with the first one. This kit only…

Pros
  • Pretty package

  • Can't remember
