Works great in computers and accessories

We had problems with offline stuff like CBS online etc. I thought the main problem was an old HP computer I was using. I had a much newer Dell with more memory and an Intel I5 processor but wanted to add a graphics card with HDMI O/P output. Problem? It was small by chassis factor. I ordered a card that I liked and it didn't fit in the case. I ordered this card and bingo, fits perfectly. After installing it we used it and we have a perfect TV picture and all the shaking and dropouts weโ€ฆ

had to return it, heatsink height was too big to fit in one

I have a Dell 2k monitor and recently inherited an older Dell Inspiron 570 with Windows 10 Home. The highest resolution I can get from an integrated graphics card is HD (1080p) and I was looking for a budget graphics card that would give me 2k (2560 x 1440) video resolution. This card seemed to fit the bill, except when it came to installation. The card occupies more than 1 PCIe slot due to the height of the heatsink. The Dell PC has a limited number of PCIe slots to upgrade and I would ratherโ€ฆ

Died 3 months later Computer and accessories

My old tower has a PCI Express slot. The fan hummed, obviously failing. I don't play games so all I needed was a graphics card that would support my 22" DVI monitor. Under $50 and a heatsink instead of a fan seemed like the perfect combination. Diamond has been in business for a long time. I ignored bad reviews like no driver or difficult to install etc. as non-technical handling error. Bought, installed and the silence was golden. But right away I noticed subtle issues like left-click speedโ€ฆ

Let's zoom, um, zoom.

Well online courses courtesy I needed to be able to use zoom on one of my computers. My 10 year old desktop just couldn't do it and my little Lenovo barely could. So, time for an update! To be honest, buying this board was more of an afterthought as I figured increasing my desktop RAM to 4GB and installing a quad core processor would be enough. But having had good results with Diamond products in the past and the modest price of the board, I decided to buy it and give it a try. On the plusโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll add later

I bought this for a Dell Precision T7500 server workstation - an absolute tower monster. One of the criteria for this purchase was noise reduction. Internally, Dell has fully passive cooling for the CPU, Northbridge and 24GB of RAM, and I didn't want to turn the TV on at 20dB while watching movement to compensate for the humming fan noise. The role of Dell's Monster is to turn a dumb TV into a smart TV and act as a media gateway between my TV and the network storage that stores my movies. Thisโ€ฆ

Replacement Graphics Card for Windows XP/Windows 10 Dual Boot System

I have a dual boot Windows XP/Windows 10 computer at home and bought this card to replace my graphics card To replace ATI Radeon X1650 which I put into service about 10 years ago. The fan stopped working many years ago, but this year even the extra fan didn't cool it enough to keep it from throwing overheat errors. So I decided to look for a "not too old and not too new" graphics card with drivers for Windows XP and drivers that at least worked on Windows 10. I chose this card and was notโ€ฆ
