Can be modified to fit SDS100

This antenna does not fit the Uniden SDS100 from the factory, but if you have a lathe (not everyone?) you can fold back the base collar by about 1/2mm using a rubber -O-ring from the range you bought from The Chinese Are Take Over Freight and it will fit whilst retaining the waterproof properties of the original.

Fuck SWR. Was it a party or just a coincidence?

I hate buying antennas online. You never know what it's going to look like, how it's going to work. This antenna sucked so much. It says it's for 2M/70CM but my analyzer says otherwise. This thing has been tuned to 160MHz and 462MHz. That's worse than the flimsy, heavily curved standard antenna I was using 15 years ago.

    Improved reception on my BCD436HP

Much better reception than the standard antenna supplied with the BCD436HP. I usually turn on 40-45/150/450MHz for the California Highway Patrol, Fire Department and Tulare/Fresno County Police Department. In the photos I provided you can see the difference in the length of the rubber ducky antenna. Very high quality antenna at a very good price. I highly recommend it.

    Great for Uniden BCD436HP Scanners

I also have a BNC version of this 77CA antenna from Diamond which works very well with various Ham HT and other scanners but I was looking for a 436HP SMA version. I'm not sure why it picks up Motorola Trunk Simulcast 800MHz signals better than the other 5 handheld antennas I have, but it does. I also have a PRO-106 scanner and this antenna works very well, but in my opinion it is noticeably better on the BCD436HP. If you are looking for a great BCD436HP portable scanner antenna that fits well,

Great for EmOps! in stationary CB radios

My Yaesu FT1D is a key tool in my CERT. We equipped our entire 10-strong amateur radio group with this radio. Some of us had problems with the Rubber Ducky antenna and switched to others. My solution was Diamond SRH77CA. For missions like search and rescue, fires, and EmOps drills, it's worked quite well so far. We had just finished a tornado drill when we decided to switch to the FRS channel for the event and the antenna worked well both inside and out. The length takes some getting used to as

Good antenna on my scanner, greatly improved 150MHz reception

I needed to adapt it to my Uniden SDS100 scanner, the plastic cover around the SMA antenna connector was too narrow so I put this antenna on a lathe and scales it to the base diameter of the stock Uniden antenna that came with the unit. The 155mhz police and fire bands have REALLY improved, seems to have clearer reception for some things in the 450mhz range, and there hasn't been any negative impact on the 850mhz channels either. Very glad I bought this. Please note that Diamond makes a similar

Good antenna - will not fit SDS100

Bought this antenna to use on Uniden SDS100. The Revain website lists it as an option in the Frequently Bought Together section. Although both the SDS100 and this antenna use an SMA connector, the design of the SDS100 is such that this antenna does not screw all the way in and makes no connection. I replaced this antenna with an identical one with a BNC connector, using the SMA to BNC adapter that came with the SDS100 and everything works fine. Despite that, I gave it a five star rating. The…

The SWR is better than the standard "long " antenna UV-8000E.

A big improvement over the standard TYT UV-8000E "long" antenna which is about 1.5-2" shorter than this SRH77CA, I received horribly crazy ones SWR readings over 4.4+ on VHF with a standard 10w antenna, with this antenna I get closer to 1.5 on VHF and 1.21 on UHF Reception is a bit compared to the stock UV-8000E bad but I feel like the antenna was tuned to receive rather than transmit which is why it had such poor SWR Feels good, barrel is good, long, thick, doesn't fill the antenna hole on my…
