I still use these flexible wands, wrapping the hair all the way around the wand, then folding one half over the other and twisting around the hair and then the Hair clip use up and down bar to hold bar in place, sometimes more than one. The wire is very soft and flexible, they have greatly improved it. I apply "herbal essence" to my hands before wrapping my hair around the shaft.

Yes, folks. those shoppers who complained about the noxious chemical smell from these commercials weren't joking. I figured I could air them out well or spray them to get rid of the smell, but even two weeks of airing didn't help. Too bad but I would give ZERO stars if I could. They are long and thin which is good if you want tighter curls and have long hair. However, I have found that they do not bend or hold hair like other brands sold on Revain. I bought flexirods in a plastic bag of various sizes and the thinnest ones flexed well and held their shape. I don't know how they differ, but they don't hold the hair very well.

Although the curlers came with no instructions, they were fairly basic and easy to use. The material looks/feels cheap (like a yoga mat material on the outside with a flexible wire inside; the end caps were a bit flimsy), but for the most part it was solid and did what it was supposed to do.
