Smaller than it should be

Just bought a shirt and wearing it for the first time. I'm 6ft 1in, 210lbs. and the XL size fits the body well, but any smaller size will be a little tight. I prefer my clothing to be slightly loose and slightly smaller than the typical X-Large. What I don't like are the short sleeves. They should be at least 1 inch longer, maybe 2 inches. I don't like it when my sleeves ride up when I move and that's what happened with this shirt. I may or may not get rid of it soon, but it will never be my…

Excellent value for money and quality!

The material is described as "heavyweight". Almost, not quite, but almost as "heavy" as the men's Carhartt Henley long sleeve shirt sold at Revain. However, Dickies is 100% cotton while Carhartt is a 60/40 blend. Another comparison is that Dickies are noticeably more thoughtful or heavier than Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. I have all of the above. Size wise - big on Dickies fits like a medium Carhartt; Carhartt is always working harder. Dickies true to size. Complaints about the sleeve length in…

You can't go wrong with Dickies.

I like to wear henleys because they're casual enough to go out and even sleep in, but it's a cut above a plain white t-shirt in making you look dressed up that you going out and dressing anything Don't look too casual. The Dickies hallmark is quality and this heavyweight Henley is great. I like the comfort of the shirt and the look is clean and the shirt is well made for this type of shirt. There are 3 buttons on the front that can be unbuttoned if necessary. The chest pocket also makes the…

This shirt is VERY flattering!

This shirt shrunk a bit when washed. When I received the shirt, it fit perfectly. The shirt is well made. The material is dense, the seams are full and thorough. Even the buttons are sewn on well. But the arms shrunk about 4 inches after the first wash and dry. It would have been a real disappointment and totally unnecessary if Dickie had just pre-shrunk the material. Now I have to give it to my nephew. Such a shame. I don't think I'll buy it again, although I think I might buy more. I've…

Nice appropriate Henley

I really like this style of clothing as I bought a few pieces from another brand a few years ago. These garments are size XL and still fit very well. This time I bought XXL to compensate for shrinkage after washing and drying. They fit almost the same as other brands XL shirts EXCEPT the sleeves on these Dickies are too short. I can live with that as I find the rest of the shirt will be too big to get a size with long enough sleeves. So the conclusion is that they usually run smaller than the…
