Using the product to convert Echo Dot to Optical for Soundbar - Optical cable not included

Optical cable not included as shown in the product images so keep this in mind if you need to order an extra cable. This isn't a complete review, but any audio delay this may cause is irrelevant in my use case of converting my Echo Dot from analog to digital.

DOES NOT CONVERT HP NOTEBOOK ANALOG DROM TO DIGITAL SPEAKERS BA 735

I have no complaints about the quality of the goods or the speed of delivery. The problem was not knowing what digital format HP provided. The speaker system Boston Acoustic BA 735 Digital could not decode the received signal. The converter, documentation and accompanying accessories were of the highest quality. This may be logged as "operator error" - in this case, me. Revain's returns system was quick, easy and immediate.

Doesn't work, maybe only 24 bit?

Doesn't work with my stereo. I needed an extra input and had a spare TOSLINK input so I figured it would be cheap enough for the price. This should convert the analog input to a S/PDIF (PCM) output. But it did not work. I flashed the "pcm" light on my receiver when it was plugged in, but there was no sound. When I turn on PCM on my receiver it just flashes and doesn't hang. Just in case, I've tried all sorts of cables and USB power adapters, but none of them could convert to digital and work…
