When testing, make sure the water temperature is low

Effect of temperature on TDS: As the temperature of the water increases, so does the conductivity of the water; where TDS in water is directly related to conductivity. . Temperature affects conductivity by increasing the mobility of ions and, in addition, the solubility of many salts and minerals. (Copied from Google) I tested several different water samples and the meter was accurate. Just make sure all samples are the same temperature, otherwise the same water source will give differentโ€ฆ

Indispensable device for drinking water testing.

I bought this TDS tester to test my new fridge water filter. I couldn't trust the filter indicator and was surprised after testing a newly installed refrigerator water filter with this TDS tester. As you can see the water was not suitable for daily use. I also used a TDS tester to test sinks and bottled water. This TDS tester does the job very accurately, bottled water was below 50ppm (potable) and sink water was above 400+ (not safe for daily consumption). I recommend buying a TDS tester ifโ€ฆ

This is a reference toy

Having no other gauge to compare other than a thermometer I have to say this. It showed the difference between tap water and filtered water from the fridge, the fridge had less PPM and us/cm which is good but then again I don't have a professional meter to compare. However, I have a thermopen, which is a very accurate thermometer, and the difference was 15 degrees. See image. Since the thermometer reading was far from correct, I have to assume the other readings are just as bad. It's like a toy
