Liters only. This device does not change from a liter to a gallon. After reading and following the instructions that came with the device, it states that it can work in both gallons and liters. But I can't get the device to toggle.

This device is so sensitive that you can easily blow through the inlet side to check its operation. By following a sparse guide, I was able to switch between pints, quarts, gallons, and liters to display units of measure. Can't wait to install it tomorrow morning.

Conclusion: Does not have a thread for connecting to a garden hose connector like a RV. And they test them with DIESEL and the smell is hard if not impossible to get rid of. I don't know if it affects the taste. I bought this after trying one of the cheap $15 plastic bottles. It immediately failed electronically; and every time I plugged it in I worried that it might damage the plastic. A few positive reviewers said something along the lines of "for this price if it breaks just throw it away…
