LCD Digital Meter XC6013L: High-precision Capacitance Capacitor Tester for circuit analysis - mF uF Circuit Gauge Capacitance Meter Tester Review

This instrument is functionally accurate for capacitance measurements of both large and small capacitors. I've used it on a variety of capacitors from A/C start and run capacitors to very small capacitors in low voltage power supplies. It does not measure capacitors in a circuit, they must be disabled for an accurate measurement. This tester is worth the money.

I knew I shouldn't have trusted this thing. I had just started working with HVAC and didn't want to spend a lot on the capacitor reading function as my meter had everything else. This thing lasted less than a week and now everything is down to zero. Check the continuity of the wires and they're fine, so anything that went wrong is in the meter. And I always discharged my capacitors before reading.

On the plus side it seemed pretty accurate as all the capacitors I measured were within tolerance. Anything from 500uF to 10pF is measured with capacitor tolerances. Cons: Management is terrible. Why there are two CV+ connectors and when to use them is not explained. The CV jack on the meter for connecting small capacitors directly is not well marked. Otherwise I'm happy with it and it should meet my needs.

My AC unit has failed and I had to buy a tester and capacitor on the spur of the moment. A big thank you to Amazon for same day shipping and providing a reliable product. The device itself is spot on for testing, I tested two good devices of the same make and model that gave the same results. Both are new of course. The third was my failed capacitor, which of course didn't provide any capacitance. For the money it's worth it and in my opinion grossly underrated.

This was a very good value capacitor tester and it did exactly what I needed! I tested this on a brand new capacitor and it measured almost exactly what the capacitor label said. The block looks cheaply made. The stand was difficult to slide out with the rubber cover. It was also impossible to remove the battery cover as the rubber cover held the battery cover in place.
