Works - holds film for office electronics

The attached image is a random old color negative stored in a holder, photographed at 5mp and was converted to GIMP 2.10. Without the mount, it was barely visible. Worth the price.

Pros
  • 35mm film holder set / 135 slides suitable for use with Digitnow scanners
Cons
  • Not bad

Poorly constructed negative holder

This unit is a bit difficult to open as it closes tight which is good for holding negatives securely but not so good when opening . The pins that go through the negatives are not positioned correctly, so the dividing line between the negatives prevents the entire negative from sitting between the plastic spacers. Not good if you really need a complete negative look. You get what you pay for. Pay more for higher quality devices

Pros
  • 1x 35mm film holder (negative holder), 1x 135mm slide holder (positive holder)
Cons
  • Weight

Poorly designed negative holder

This unit is a little tricky to open as it latches firmly which is good for holding negatives securely but not great for opening. The pins that go through the negatives are not positioned correctly, so the dividing line between the negatives prevents the entire negative from sitting between the plastic spacers. Not good if you really need a complete negative look. You get what you pay for. Pay more for higher quality devices

Pros
  • Office supplies
Cons
  • Crumpled

Used for scanners and accessories

Used to fix negatives in digital photography with a macro lens. Definitely served the purpose. However, the frame isn't very strong and the flip-lid closure is too tight. Therefore, it bends too much when the holder is opened. If you are not in a hurry, this is definitely a good and economical product. If you're hoping to receive and shoot a lot of negatives in a short amount of time, this may not be the best product for the job.

Pros
  • Office electronics
Cons
  • Don't remind me

Not suitable for scanning negatives (with mirrorless/SLR cameras)

It holds negatives very well, but if you bought it to scan negatives yourself you'll find that it can handle the film does not hold flat. Even to the naked eye there is a curve. If the edges of the plastic are too close to the edge of the image, not only will you lose the edge of the film (if you care), but the light will reflect off the edge of the plastic, effectively "chopping off" parts. of the negative. (on the resulting digital photo).

Pros
  • Slide and negative scanner
Cons
  • No autoscan
