We love this product! I bought this for my wife to use on my Rogue to transport our son's kayak. That. Sturdy and works great. It also looks great. Makes the car stand out.

Very easy to install. When I wasn't happy with the sloping front cross member, I flipped it and the fit was still good. Both cross members are now tilted up toward the center of the vehicle. I also applied blue Loctite to the screws.

Suitable for transporting items on the roof within its own weight. The kayak rode well. The direction of one of the crossbars was wrongly marked, but that's okay because it only fits one way. I don't know why it says it's not compatible with rogue select. Fits perfectly.

Best of all: Looks great on the car. Easy to install once I fix the issue below. Worst: not wide enough to carry canoes. Kayaks or canoes slide down the middle. This is a design flaw by NISSAN. bad cars. Holes do not line up between side rails and crossbars. I had to drill holes to fit. I will buy a universal crossbar, flat and wide. they will not work for my purposes.

I took my originals off because the plastic coating was peeling from the aluminum. After removing the originals I noticed a lot of aluminum corrosion. These are newly powder coated which is good. The only issue I had was with the alignment of the top bars. The long one goes forward and the short one goes backwards. I tried to return the shelf from Amazon warehouse to save some money but it was not worth it. The advert described damaged packaging and nothing else, but when we received it the box was fine and the frame had a large dent. It looks like the previous owner used it then returned it and it was never tested before being sent for resale. I wasn't expecting it to be in new condition but I'm surprised they didn't even look at the product when they resold it.

Definitely suitable for attaching kayak holders (J-hooks). I had one of the brackets scratched, but no one noticed. Everything fits together well. The color goes well with the roof rails, so it looks like it came from the factory. As for the design choice, I'm not sure the bars are slightly angled (maybe the factory bars are that way too? not sure). After all it does what the factory does but for 1/3 the price so I'm happy.
