I'm about to finish this work, it's good for a month long project but there are types of embroidery that require experience. There are French knots (easy), lazy daisies (moderate), and braids and cords (tougher). The proportion of Aida is also lower and many of the colors are very similar.

The photos do not do this great product justice. I made one (but with dark gold hair) and gave it to my sister as a guardian angel after she lost her baby. Now it hangs over my new niece's bed and watches over her while she sleeps. There is no background fill so you can create it quickly. I'm relatively new to cross stitch but I've had fun working on it. I thought I learned all the stitches that were in the count, but it taught me at least three new techniques. Just the touch was very interesting. The work itself, once completed, was simply magnificent. It will serve as a wonderful gift for a grieving family member.
