Not the best toy for a 9 year old!

Well, the thread was a bit tangled and she couldn't untie it, so I helped her! But as soon as she started embroidering, the mesh broke in more than one place. I've tried fixing it with drywall netting tape, but you can fix it so many times before you get bored and throw it in the trash when she's playing with one of her other toys!

Pros
  • Stamp Sets
Cons
  • Something to complete

Hmm I just received the kit except for the .

Ummm I just received the kit it had everything except the English instructions! I have never made a needlepoint and there is no stitch chart or instructions on how many threads to thread through the needle and what stitches to use where not included! I'm so pissed. I can't do a project without knowing what to do.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

happy with it.

Bought to try something different. I've been making snap rugs for many years so I decided it was time to look like a grandma and try embroidery and cross stitching. I really enjoyed doing this. was very surprised. I thought a bit about how to start since this was new to me. but it turned out well and I'm happy with one of my first attempts at it. buy more points and keep them as a reserve or turn them off from time to time.

Pros
  • Cross Stitch
Cons
  • So far so good

So frustrating

Received today and was so excited to start this. The big advantage was that it came with all the materials. However, it is a short color. (The color chart on the side of the canvas has 14 colors and 13 thread colors.) I put it aside and decided to just get what was missing, but after 3 stitches the thread began to break and knot itself beyond repair. I had to finish the stitching, cut the thread and cut the knot in half. It took what should have been relaxing and made it a disappointment to me.

Pros
  • Stamped sets
Cons
  • Slightly torn
