Thinking about making candles? You must have this on your list! This is very useful when making candles. Insert the wick in the middle and put on and assemble the metal guide. This helps me determine where the ideal center is. I installed the wick with this metal guide before pouring the wax. Remove when you think the wax is already hardening.

I don't know why they have such high ratings. The holes have small indentations where you need to insert the wick so that it is perfectly centered. However, the recesses are too small for the wick, forcing the wick to stay in the larger hole. This shifts it off center and defeats its entire purpose. They are strong but ineffective.

I was very happy to find these coasters to help with candle making. The price was great but the size differs by about 1/8 inch which causes it to slip when in use. The metal is smooth and doesn't stay in place. Comparison in pictures - shiny aluminum is ordered, brushed metal is stronger and perfectly sized.

I ordered these for candle making. This is my first time making candles with my own hands. I ordered a starter kit to get started. The set came with wooden sticks - they looked like popsicle sticks with a hole in the middle. My wicks continued to move and move away from the center. I ordered these in metal and they worked great! They have a small notch that holds the wick in place. I wish I had them for my first batch. Highly recommended. Made my job a lot easier.
