Good product and works well with in-app geometry software. Use a good stand to keep things steady if you need more than just a downward view.

Great digital microscope. I used it to measure the SRA on a pickup truck. The measuring software was not very easy for me to use (YMMV), but the images were relatively easy to create and large enough that I could print them out and measure the angle directly with a protractor.

The software is easy to set up, works great and the images are great too. It comes with a transparent plastic used to calibrate measurements, which helps you guess better. The only improvement I would make would be adding some horizontal and vertical grid lines that can be toggled on and off to allow for more accurate measurements.

Very nicely done, the resolution is crisp and clear. I actually used it to check the front angle of the needle on my cartridge and it worked great. The included software is efficient, although some sections of the help were incomprehensible to me. I found some YouTube videos with good instructions on setting up the software and using the Paint component. very easy.

Coming from a film/DSLR background, I was a little disappointed with the resolution at first. However, I soon realized that this is enough and you probably won't need any more detail than he offers. To see more, get closer and focus. The included software works perfectly with Windows 7 and Windows 8 and also supports simultaneous recording from two connected microscopes.

We use a Dino-Lite with measuring function at work (same model). I just bought it for home use and have used it numerous times to diagnose mechanical damage, manufacturing defects and the way I use it for work, measuring dimensions, angles etc. I'm sure it will be interesting to see errors etc. but I plan to use it mainly for detailed inspection of mechanical parts and it's ideal for taking photos and emailing them to friends or clients to send.
