To program most cars/GM you will need a scanner that will work using an aftermarket snap tool. You have problems with factory welds, this is a good replacement.

I got this so I wouldn't have to go to the dealer and pay crazy prices for a new key fob. I actually need 2 but picked up this one to try. I just swapped the cases and it works great now. I need another one so will be placing another order soon.

This is my 4th key fob and I can say that it is the thickest and can take the most beatings. The coloring is really good because on others the coloring is gone after a month or two. I've had five months with it and the only one that's starting to go away is the unlock.

I bought this to replace the factory key fob for my 2009 Pontiac G6 GT. I took it to a local locksmith and he programmed it for me for $30. I've tried everything online to program it myself, but you must have a programmer that plugs into the vehicle's OBD II port.
