Daily Questions. Works for receiver

I continue to have problems losing channels in the guide. Especially the locals. The story channel never appeared. Multiple DISH calls to reconnect and still no history channel. For the first few days we rebooted and disconnected so many times that I told DISH I needed a switch. We use the KING Tailgator with a clear view to the south. Not sure where the error is.

Dish HD Receiver VIP211z

Very good equipment. The only problem is that it's very difficult to get Dish to authorize it. The device software keeps asking for an internet connection but it doesn't work well, keeps saying it can't connect to Dish. Had to call Dish with the device id to get them to send the authentication signal via satellite which took a few tries as they were getting it wrong but eventually someone got on the line who knew what they were doing and they did Authentication was very fast. . Dish in receiver

I bought two of these devices for my second home. I hired a professional installer because I wanted a satellite dish to be permanently mounted high on a two story house and I can't handle the height anymore. I watched the installation and setup process with Dish and it was easy and straightforward. The quality of the receiver is very good and I am very satisfied with the picture quality. It costs $7 more per month for each receiver, but since I paid $26 for a basic cable, purchasing these units

It arrived quickly and appeared to be in good condition. However

Use this receiver for our RV. It arrived quickly and appeared to be in good condition. However, when I connected the dish, I was told that the smart card included with the system was not suitable for the device. Replacing the card with Dish would have cost me $50, but since I'm paying for the service, it didn't cost me anything. Once the new card arrived and was installed, a series of phone calls with Dish began. I don't think I've ever met anyone who knows why I'm not getting a signal. In the…

NONE OF THIS IS 'NEW', refurbished units are shit

The DISH Solo HD receiver is a secondary option to the ViP211z. All are DVR compatible with a one-time DVR activation fee and customer-supplied external USB storage. DISH Support CONFIRMS that 211z-s does not support DVR, but after two levels of escalation the DVR activation code is passed to DISH. NO 211Z IS *UNUSED* "NEW". It is no longer manufactured, so ALL are "Factory Refurbished", with no dyno documentation of quality control tests passed post-refurbishment. Not very comforting. I…

I have a love-hate relationship with this receiver. I had to read countless reviews before deciding on this receiver and I'm going to put everything I've learned from lots of research and personal experience in one place to hopefully save someone some time. an access card (some reviews say it's not included or built in), it's located behind the front hinged doors (where the white model number and crockery logo are on the front of the unit). cannot preview channels or do anything until it…
