I had the 4k 30Hz version before I switched to the 4k 60Hz version. Although the 4k 30Hz version is entirely plastic/rubber, the cable feels really solid, which helps leverage the light plastic feel of the HDMI end of the adapter. Overall this is the best option if you absolutely don't need 4k 60Hz. Runs cooler and much cheaper

This is the second one I bought and it works for a while or a few months and then when I try to connect it again it doesn't connect. I know it's not my HDMI cable because I use it for my cable and it still works. I find it ridiculous that I keep buying it to work for a while and then stop. I don't know if it's fried or what but unfortunately I'll look for another product.

I bought two of these for a dual monitor setup with a KVM switch. Glad they work. The bad news is that one of them failed after about 45 days. I'll end up ordering another one as they're pretty cheap, but if they continue to suck I'll have to look elsewhere.
