Perfect replacement for 2014 Corolla

Perfect replacement for the driver's side front door on my 2014 Toyota Corolla S Plus. It took a little patience to put it back in place, but it works like a charm and I saved about $300 doing it myself. It took about 45 minutes to pull out and replace the old unit.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fixed an issue with unlocking the door.

2015 The Highlander door would not always open with the remote, which fixed the issue. There is a step-by-step video online on how to do the exchange in the east, but do not rush to break any ledges. You need to buy some scratch pad removal tools if you don't have one.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Damaged

Worked fine, replaced OEM AISIN. 2016 Highlander

Although the installation went well I was really conflicted about replacing this unit when I discovered that the OEM unit causing the problem was also AISIN. He is said not to have acted on a 5-year-old car. I hope they found their bad batch and fixed it with newer ones.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • embarrassed

DIY requires patience, but it's perfect. Be nice to your hands!

Perfect fit. It just needs patience to install it. Not because of the detail, just because of the door and the details for its installation. Patience is key, you'll curse some, but you need a small flashlight and PATIENCE. It's like 10 tries and suddenly it fits! Works well and satisfied!

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Nothing

Fits 2015 Sienna. Identical to Toyota OEM

Matches my wife's 2015 Sienna. As far as I could tell, this part was made in the same factory (or at least to the same specifications) as the original part. All markings and numbers were identical. do yourself a favor Remove the two 10mm window channel screws and use wire to hold the channel out of the way during removal and installation. In any case. The door lock now works.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • No power

The part is normal, works as it should

On my 2014 Lexus IS250 both door lock actuators failed at about the same time. I bought this part for the driver's side first and once installed everything worked as it should. I just bought the passenger side and will install it when I get it. This part is OEM, so it fits and looks exactly like the original part. The only issue I had was that there is a clamp that holds the crank/lock cables to the drivetrain which doesn't appear to be included with this part. I just removed it from an old…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Mostly normal but...

Arrived quickly and was the right part and fitted well. INSTALLATION TIP: It's easy to overlook that deep in the back of the door is a vertical bar that runs from the old door lock actuator to the door lock (keyhole). This rod will pop out of the hole as you pull out the old part. Be sure to reinstall that bar by rocking the new piece into place (if you forget this step, all other door locks will work fine, but the door in question will not power lock or open). After that, you can screw on a…

Replace Highlander Electric Door Lock Actuator" . It's not a direct link but if you type these words , a nice video should appear. While most parts that have a small electric motor inside (like this one) usually fail suddenly and stop working, mine broke on the driver's door of a 2015 Highlander Platinum Limited for a few months. The key fob worked 95% of the time, but 5% of the time the driver's door wouldn't open no matter how close or how many times the key fob was pressed, and we had to get…
