Especially for small tools

My husband had a bad habit of taking my large whetstone out of the kitchen drawer to use on garden tools and then leaving it outside. That's why I bought him this little gadget. Now my rock is safe and has a pocket tool perfect for garden shovels, secateurs and claws to name a few. (It also works better with my kitchen scissors than my large sharpening stone.) It has a rough side, a fine side, and a tactile handle. It really gets into those hard-to-reach places and works really well. We are…

Pros
  • Soft rubber grip for more comfort. Built in lanyard hole
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Useful for touching up

This sharpener has four small grinding surfaces: an approximately 3/4" long piece of carbide (useful for removing nicks from blades), a pair of 3/4 x 1/2 diamond chips, and a tiny strip of ceramic abrasive.I wouldn't use it for sharpening knives but I think it will work fine for its intended purpose - for mending pruning shears and garden tools.Want to work at a table or bench where you have what needs to be sharpened Clamp a tool and then use it to carefully finish the edge?I prefer to sharpen

Pros
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty
Cons
  • Some bugs

3-Way Comparison of the Best Power and Hand Tools

Summary: I've been using carbide sharpeners for a number of years. Originally bought Corona (12/2019), then Sharpal (12/2019). Although very similar, the Corona is slightly smaller and the Sharpal has more cutting surfaces. Both have excellent carbide cutting surfaces. I will compare this DMD to both. Observations: When it comes to diamond grinding, Diamond Machine Technology (DMT, not DM"D") is the industry leader. While DMD diamond stones are worthy, they are no match for DMT. DMT does not…

Pros
  • Solid Carbide Construction for Durable Use
Cons
  • No Instructions
