Didn't help buying another one at the auto parts store? When I replaced it the new one worked, the one I got from you didn't work at all.

Second Aftermarket Part. I didn't learn my lesson the first time. Aftermarket parts are a lot cheaper but in this case it was a waste of time and money. The only part that fixed the problem and cleared the code was a genuine Toyota part.

Upon unpacking the box I noticed that this sensor was about 1/8 inch shorter than the original Toyota sensor. After installing it, I immediately had trouble shifting gears and the indicators on the dash lit up. work at least occasionally.

This is the sensor located on the gearbox under the battery compartment, not the sensor on top of the gearbox for the Sienna Van. The gauge at the top of the gear is about ⅛"-¼" (I didn't have a ruler to measure with) longer than this gauge.

I had a check engine light on for the speed sensor. In that car were two. One under the air intake and one under the battery. There can be a difference between them. I used this one to replace the one under the battery. world repaired. Since then there have been no problems. Will be updated if there are quality issues. This part is of great value. It's cheaper than at the auto parts store.

Ordered for 2004 Toyota Sienna. As others have said the magnetic part at the tip of the sensor is 1/8" shorter than the OEM sensor and once installed the car immediately had terrible shifting problems (didn't shift at the right time, felt a lot of slippage). The factory part became cleaned and reinstalled, car shifts fine Apparently this sensor just isn't working / misconfigured.

Addressed code P0717 on Toyota Highlander with U151E transmission. I have replaced the exit sensor in the past, the parts are similar but not identical or interchangeable on this transmission. If I remember correctly, the exit sensor is a bit longer. Toyota lists two different part numbers. As previously mentioned, the entry sensor is under the battery box and the exit sensor is under the airbox. I believe the bulk of the negative comments are due to people trying to use them interchangeably…
