Right size, good materials, fair price

This was the right size for an 87 350 TBI engine with stock headers. The studs are not marked Class 8, but the bolts are clearly marked Class 8. Now I just wish they would sell a bolt only kit as I don't need studs on the passenger side, if anyone knows of a kit with just 6 bolts let me know

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Commercial availability

Handy set but doesn't require as many studs

For '97 5.7L trucks. I used lock washers because they were a quarter inch longer than the originals, although I don't think it was really necessary. It was winter, I was outside, and the old rusty bolts were fun enough to take off without doing a science experiment with new bolts. Similar size 8 bolts in the HW shop for the left side where the original bolts were missing. Due to the plow mount, 2 bolts were needed to get the right size.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Lots of accessories

I received class 8 screws but the installation instructions were wrong.

I'm swapping out the engines for a Chevy K2500 350 (5.7L) TBI and had to replace the headers because the flanges on a 1990 Suburban engine that is to replace the old engine were wrong . I bought this kit, as did the other reviewer, for the power steering bracket studs. I was expecting the old bolts to snap but after a few uses of Blaster 16-PB Penetrating Catalyst Oil - 11 oz. (the best material I have ever used) they came out very easily. I also purchased a Dorman 674-013 Dorman 674-013…

Pros
  • Exhaust and emissions
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
