No stamping problems, make sure you choose the right filter

The pan looks good quality. Edge embossing from June 2020 without any problems. The drain plug is very tight like the others, I replaced the metal washer with a nylon washer but note that it is not 12mm as Revain might recommend but probably 14mm. I could use 12mm but I had to cut it. Make sure you choose the right filter! Searching for parts reveals that the AC Delco TF337 is designed for a deep sump, but doesn't fit properly due to the angled protrusion under the dipstick that all theseโ€ฆ

I would love to return it

I ordered this pan from Revain because it was almost $20 cheaper than the local auto parts store for the same item. The pan was incorrectly stamped at the factory. There was a gap between the two screw holes in the raised part. (See photos) If installed, gear oil would leak out. I used a hammer and punch to fill the gap, a thick washer and a washer in the pipe to close it. Not what you would expect from a brand new part. I give it two stars because I use it and it doesn't leak when I'm done. Iโ€ฆ

Revain has a bad batch of defective pots

Ordered this pot because it has a drain plug. The first one that came was defective as the embossing of the seal area was incomplete. I ordered a replacement which arrived yesterday. Same problem with exchange. I noticed another review that showed the same problem. Looks like Revain got a bad batch of these pans that leak when installed. I am attaching a photo of two skillets with a punching error. Looks like I'm going to send them back and reuse the old pan. Update September 19, 2016 - Iโ€ฆ

Works great installation takes effort no proper tool

As I tow regularly the manual says the filter and fluid needs to be changed every 50k hopefully this will make the job a little easier and less messy . Works great, installed yesterday. There are no leaks, the holes are evenly aligned. However, working without lifting is flour. To get it right they want you to loosen the exhaust to allow enough clearance. It also interferes with the shifter. I was able to replace mine without unbolting the exhaust, but it was a lot harder. I ended up removingโ€ฆ

High quality pan and perfect fit for 1999 Chevrolet S10 2.2L. The plug is the ONLY reason I bought a new oil pan to make changing the transmission oil easier. I wasn't planning on draining/filling twice but now I need to replace the gasket. I will be ordering a new gasket: which another reviewer says: Dorman 65270. Not having an alternative to the brass crush washer on hand I was forced to use a high tack sealant around the drain area. Plug. I'll be watching closely until a replacement discโ€ฆ

Leaking drain plug

This is a good retrofit transmission oil pan but the drain plug is a poor quality product! Some reviews said that replacing a special Dorman seal will stop leaks, it can work the first time. The real problem is that the shoulder of the drain plug doesn't match the threads! If you used a soft material gasket it will form a hole between the pan and the drain plug, but if the gasket is not in the same position as the drain plug when you remove it, the leak will be larger than the first time. Drain plug loosens everything

This oil pan fits the stock oil pan exactly, but on my 2004 Suburban the shift cable retaining clip blocks removal and installation of the oil pan. Chilton's recommends unscrewing this bracket, but the 2 screws holding this bracket are almost inaccessible. I didn't have the luxury of a lift, so on my back I pulled the cable out of the mount and then used my giant channelocks to slide the mount out of the way while you lowered the pan.
