The manufacturing process cannot be blamed here. This part has been made worse! I know it's made in China, but it was probably designed in the US. Not safe in a vehicle. MUCH worse than the OEM part.

Cheaper than OEM Mopar

Replaced both left and right control arms on Jeep Patriot 09 due to ball joint failure. It is cheaper than the original Mopar part. It's hard to say if this will continue, I'll update this post in a few years. lol. From what I've understood from others, could Moog be the best brand?

Perfect replacement for my Dodge Caliber

Perfect replacement for my Dodge Caliber. The ball joint and bushings were well tightened and strong. The caliber is almost back in stock :) UPDATE: The product lasted about 3 years, after which the ball joint was shot and the case was about half shot. . There is no way to lubricate the ball joint!

You get what you pay for

I bought this to replace a broken control lever in my Jeep Patriot. I needed it urgently so I ordered this one. You can see immediately that the ball joint is not as tight as on Moog or Mopar. It's a decent item for the price and if you can't afford anything better I'd take it, but if I could do it again I'd go to Moog or Mopar.

better than new. but not the best ever.

Much better product than OEM. But still not pro-mechanical quality. Keep the old ones - it's easy to buy bushings and pivots (very cheap to buy) and press them at the machine shop. You now have spare parts that you can replace when they wear out (or build another car). My ball joints were literally on the verge of physically failing and separating in less than 40,000 miles one way. Failed after about 5000 miles and wrecked a set of tires.
