🔧 Dorman 598-114 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Tube: Enhancing Engine Performance Review

Works great in the end. My old line got clogged and exploded killing my mpg and making a loud hiss. I had to struggle to even it out, but after wrapping a few threads on each side it fit well and the axle sounds great again.

People here are so negative, I installed this on my 1997 Ford F-350 7.3, power stroke, worked great , the material is a little lighter than the original but it served its purpose, the seller sent it asap, thanks 👍👈

Just what I needed to replace an old hose in my 99 f350 that had a side crack. I was about to clean it and replace the ebp sensor but then I found a gaping hole. Ordered and installed immediately, as everything fitted perfectly. Hopefully it will last another 280,000 km.

This pipe connects to the exhaust manifold and exhaust gas sensor (EGR) on a 7.3 liter pickup diesel engine: replaces an old clogged recirculation pipe: a new recirculation pipe reduces the RPM of 800 to 600 rpm idle. I get 90 miles for a quarter tank of diesel "great"

Electrical part aside, this made a big difference to my 7.3 liter diesel. My gas mileage has increased by 3 mpg. This is definitely a maintenance that needs to be done every few years. My tube was so clogged with dirt I couldn't even blow air through it.

Perfect fit, good quality at a great price! Shipping updates were vague at best, so they came as a surprise. Works perfectly! Clean the threaded fittings that the hose is screwed to BOTH ends. My old pipe and both end fittings were clogged with soot in my old '99 engine. You will thank me later!

According to the configurator this product fits a 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3L. Unfortunately there aren't any. If you see other reviews with photos for this product, I had the same problem. The pipe I removed from the truck is very different in size/shape from this item. THIS ITEM WILL NOT FIT POWERSTROKE 1999.5-2003. I have to assume this applies to OBS 7.3L.

Ordered for my 2000 Excursion 7.3. When I opened the bag I noticed that it was stainless steel but a very light tube. I removed the original exhaust back pressure pipe, it was clogged but the pipe was much heavier. I decided to clean, paint and reinstall my own tube. I have used Dorman products in the past and have been satisfied. I thought it was quality material. This product makes me doubt their other products. larry

I have trusted Dorman products for a long time, but this does NOT fit 7.3 1999.5-2003! Really disappointed! I was able to mount it with too much fat and know-how! I had to file the flare of the pipe to allow the flare nut to slide all the way to the end of the pipe! Then everything is just the wrong shape! You can't have a single piece of irregularly shaped and angled pipe with flare nuts on each end and expect it to work!
