Dorman 599 211XD Climate Control Module Review

Asked tech support for help and never called back. I had to send the Pret back. Good product, crappy support from Dorman not Revain.

I replaced all of the following on a 2005 speedometer: resistor switch, fan motor and this control switch. It still didn't work until I found and replaced the 40 amp max fuse under the hood in a fuse box that nobody talks about. It costs 5 dollars. Works great now!

Rubbish. Worked two days and now stuck at 75 degrees. Temperature or fan speed cannot be adjusted. Update: My return request was quickly approved and I am expecting a full refund next week. Enjoy quick responses and customer service

After replacing many parts of the air conditioner and still having a problem I order this central controller and it is like a plug and an air conditioner. And now we even have the temperature of the air conditioning from all the vents. and works perfectly on all doors. that have been replaced. But this controller controls how they work with climate, temperature, air conditioning and heat.

Fits right. Most functions worked perfectly. The old-style controller showed an arrow on the screen when the driver and passenger side temperature controls were the same, but this one wasn't. Only the arrow points to the page you just customized. The next day after receiving it did not go out. I turn off the ignition and then it won't start. I ended up removing and replacing the AC module and fan fuses and now it's working again. Very strange……

So many conflicting reviews on this product when there is no real alternative but to buy it and pray. It connected immediately and worked flawlessly. I hate warranties, never buy them, but I paid $27 for a 4 year Allstate warranty on this part. I think: In my world, a part like that doesn't fail immediately, so I can send it back. Do not buy this item! I tried that, ran the program flow twice, which worked fine. However, I sent it back because it destroyed my battery! Somehow it didn't turn off completely and my fan ran at a very low speed, I could barely tell it was on. After later replacing my dead $170 battery, I reinstalled my old OEM box and somehow the returned part reprogrammed something and now my battery keeps dying because something in the system won't turn off completely.
