Metal Y-piece. for Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

I used it to replace the plastic Y-piece on my 2006 Chevy Avalanche. Heated hose quick coupling not suitable. Storage hose fits. So I removed the new hose and connected the original hose to the Y-piece. I'm glad I have a metal Y-piece instead of the original plastic one. And I have a spare heater hose to attach when I need it.

2002 Tahoe LS 4x4 Best in Hose Assembly

If you have a Tahoe 4x4 this is the correct heater hose it comes out of the water pump and then has a y-piece to go to the expansion tank and expansion tank. firewall heater. fits like a dream. I hate OEM style hose clamps as the pliers keep slipping off the lugs, but I really like that the Y-piece is actually metal. I had to replace the original factory hose because the Y-piece was plastic and literally broke my hand when pulling the hose off.

It works almost perfectly for the 2006 Silverado LT3 Crew Cab RWD without optional HVAC - works with minor modifications. Dorman apparently decided they didn't want to make a version for my truck since that version is for vehicles with rear HVAC controls, an auxiliary heater or something. The only difference, however, is that the quick connect adapter fits into the core of the heater on the firewall. If you change this part or find a way to reuse the old fast connection, it will work…
