Don't waste your time.

Installed 3 of these in Explorer 2000. All 3 stopped working within a year of installation. Two out of three developed problems within 6 months.

Corresponds to OEM: engines

Looks the same as the original. They can be tricky to install, but at least this one fits. I've done this before on others and had to drill various attachment points.

Like a Glove - Motors

The only complaint I had was that this thing requires a major installation operation, but that's on a Ford, not this part. After the installation it worked great. Installed on a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2.

Poor quality, save money on this product and .

Attention! If I could give zero stars I would. I bought this item in January 2015. I swapped it again until May. It is now July 2016 and it has stopped working again. The drive made a loud grinding noise while running. Poor quality, save money on this product and spend a few bucks more to get an OEM part.

Absolute junk for engines

That won't let me leave 0 stars! NO ONE deserves anything here! Bought 4, tried 2, both failed, 1 died on arrival, not moving at all, just making buzzing noises, the 2nd worked 50% of the time, I didn't even try the other two. The push-pull action was very rough on all 4 units. Just shit. Usually Doreman products are good, but they shouldn't be sold at all. You have been warned!

The product is the same as my OE 99 Explorer door lock operator, the reason I gave it 2 stars is because there are no instructions in the box which is steel circlip to install the rod painful in the ass and it's a bit sticky hope it works it really works i give a better rating when it gets cold hope it works when it's cold to open the door

Terrible screams a second after locking the door.

Makes a terrible squeak when triggered. It's like the gears are loosening and jumping over each other. The drive works but the noise is terrible and I don't think it will last long. The door mounting of the drive in the car exerts a large load on the drive housing. Note that this appears to be designed to compress all of the gears in the drive and prevent them from loosening. Works on the original - makes no noise when assembled, squeaks when unassembled. New actuator screams fitted or fitted…
