The shifter was a perfect fit for my car. The shift lever shifts smoothly. Excellent goods. Great price too. Ease of installation.

My automatic shift knob on my 2004 Cavalier was very loose and sloppy. I first tried replacing the clip, which looks like a large clamp, but the old handle was actually snapped, so that didn't help much. After replacing the handle with this one, it's like new again.

I had a clip from a previous pen. When I put it on my Cavalier it seemed to me that the clip wasn't really needed as it snapped into place. I installed mine with an old clip which was very difficult to install, I had to hammer it in to get the clip in the right position. Feels very solid. You're probably fine if you don't have a clip. It was cheaper than other online places I checked.

Perfect fit and genuine part. Clips immediately upon pressing the bar it sits on. It is not necessary to create tools. You may have to unclip the clip to remove the old one, but I didn't have to do that on mine as it didn't have a clip when I bought the car and the switch could just slide off. I would watch a video on how to take it off if you need to take it off. Plus, this product simply snaps into place when attaching.

Having trouble with shift knob. Pooh. After finding a few videos on YouTube and searching the internet a lot, I found this shift knob. Removed the old clip (pointing towards the dash) - it looks like a giant strut, pulled out with a flat head screwdriver (thanks youtube video man), removed the handle, fitted the new handle, put the clip back in place. Voila, it works great. No complaints. Very happy. Now back to our lives.

So my gear knob broke on my car, I went to a few auto parts and they didn't have stock but could order. I was quoted $37 to $47 but shipping would take 2 to 4 days. I believe the $37 price does not include the $10 shipping cost. Found the product at Revain for $22 plus tax. $30 total and delivered to my door in a few days. It's free! At first I was missing a part (a pin to put it in place) but it wasn't. I think my old one broke the inside. Needless to say, this suction cup works like a charm!

I can see that others have had good experiences with it, but I haven't. I studied it first, compared it to the broken one I had and immediately noticed that it was a lot cheaper than the original. The button and spring felt looser and cheaper, as did the vinyl. But that was to be expected in the aftermarket and I was willing to ignore it because I needed it now. We're also talking about a 14-year-old car, so I was ready for a deal. But it's not even suitable for tapping with a rubber mallet or…
