🚪 Dorman 79307 Front Passenger Side Exterior Door Handle: OE FIX, Textured Black for Select Ford Models - Shop Now! Review

This lame piece of plastic lasted almost less time than it took to install. Within a week (occasional use only) the pivot in the mechanism had lifted and the handle was only hinged at the top - very weak and in need of replacement. It's a waste of money and time to install it.

Fitment is as marked except for the striker plate which connects to the threaded socket in the door assembly. Although it came with a pole I had to reuse the one from the broken handle. My guess is that the threads on the new one weren't rough enough to snap on the receiver in the door when the door was opened; He kept slipping and not opening the door.

Rubbish, broke in a few months, same as all mentioned. The hinge pin has twisted and the handle is now loose at the bottom. It's also worth noting that this does NOT fit exactly, there is a gap in the door knob hole where water can potentially get in and cause problems. Hopefully they will replace it under warranty.

Great item. It matches the original plastic grain and appears to be slightly stronger than the original, although time will tell. Anti-theft is better than the original; Instead of a plastic inner tab that keeps the grip off the sheet metal, the Dorman pen has a metal tab. It's gotten to the point where I can happily open my door with confidence and pride. It's like opening my tow truck door to kings or heads of state.

Judging by the picture this is a good quality item. Maybe it was once, but if you order it now, what you will get is not the same as the picture. What you get is equivalent to all Chinese versions of this part for less than ten dollars. So if you want you can order them instead of paying around $20 for this version. 3 months then broke where the top pin enters the plastic. Pooh. Not worth the trouble.
