Excellent quality. - Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning

I used this Dorman air conditioning line coupler to repair a damaged metal air conditioning line and it worked well with no leaks. However, I would like the leads to be repaired by soldering. These fittings use o-rings to seal the line, but soldering will never fail as o-rings can deteriorate over time.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Easy Repair

Simple and inexpensive repair.

Seems to hold up to my '95 Lexus SC300. The spot is right in the middle under the radiator where the steel yoke holds the corroded pipe. I cut off a piece from each end and was able to pull the end together. The vacuum was gone so I did another twist on each side and that sealed it. It seems to be holding up.

Pros
  • Sturdy aluminum construction
Cons
  • Good, but not great

and finger tighten as best I could as no tool would fit.

had a leak/pinhole in my '98 crown aluminum A/C pipe when it rubbed against a bolt. Reinstall the aluminum tube, cut the tube at the damaged area with a saw, add mineral oil to the rubber seals (as indicated), connect the connectors on both ends of the cut tube, connect and pull like this hand-tight as possible. I did as no tool would fit in the limited space and it worked! The system is filled with the correct refrigerant and the air conditioning is in order again. Nice and cool.

Pros
  • Save time and money by only repairing the damaged section and not the entire A/C piping assembly.

save time and money. Five Star

The high pressure line for the rear air conditioning system was located on the front stabilizer bar. Over time I rubbed a hole from which all the refrigerant flowed out. There were at least a hundred new lines, and there was no time or energy for a picnic. Upon investigating the problem, I found an opportunity to cut a hole and splice a repair. I turned to Revain and quickly found this Dorman product. In short, it saved me time and money. You need to know the EXACT diameter of the cord you will
