I used this Dorman air conditioning line coupler to repair a damaged metal air conditioning line and it worked well with no leaks. However, I would like the leads to be repaired by soldering. These fittings use o-rings to seal the line, but soldering will never fail as o-rings can deteriorate over time.

Seems to hold up to my '95 Lexus SC300. The spot is right in the middle under the radiator where the steel yoke holds the corroded pipe.
