Poor design, difficult to install

First. the wires hardly protrude from the insulating sleeve. It wasn't easy to make connections. I ended up having to solder wires to the end of this pigtail to make it long enough to use butt connectors. Secondly. Jacket design is wrong. When connecting to the headlights, the wires look up. This means it's EASY for water to run through the wires into the outlet. The wires must be pointing DOWN for the pigtail to automatically drain moisture that gets into it.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Periodicity

Cheap and unsafe replacement parts

They are cheap and I wouldn't use them. The most unpleasant thing is that the wires are all insulated, they contain almost no copper! I measured with my wire strippers and they are 18 AWG. The OEM Miata I installed them on was 12 AWG. I'm not an engineer, but if the OEM cables are so big, then there's a reason. So I went to NAPA and bought some better plugs there. Also, these plugs are not easy to plug in as all the plugs are loose in the plug. I couldn't even connect it due to the limited…

Fits 1998 Subaru Imprezza --- Approved by Mechanic

Our 1998 Subaru Imprezza Headlight experienced something pretty ordinary; The low beam went out, then the high beam. After replacing the lightbulb everything went away. The socket has melted. I bought it hoping to replace it myself but the previous repair looked pretty shallow and I have no idea about electronics. So I took the part to a mechanic who said it was perfect and quickly repaired my headlamp with a Dorman 8470 headlamp socket which was a lot cheaper than I thought a full service shop

Nice replacement for my 1992 GMC Sierra

The previous owner put upgraded halogen sealed bars on the factory spark plugs and the spark plugs have been fried. They are designed for higher temperatures etc. They were easy to install, although I had to pry off the rubber cover on one to see which color wire went where. Knowing this, the connectors were easy to attach to the factory wiring harness and securely connect to the new Philips H6054CVC1 CrystalVision halogen bulbs I bought for my classic car. I disagree with some reviewers that…

Excellent replacement for plugs on headlights Hardbody

I bought a Nissan D21 1986.5 (hard) pickup. One of the previous owners cut off the connector on one side in a strange attempt to fix a wiring issue. This shortened the cables by a few inches, but there was already more than enough cable connected to these outlets. This enabled me to avoid having to solder in an extension cord. This plug is very well made and has rubber around the plug to keep moisture out of the plugs. I added some conductive grease to the pins on the headlight (my truck uses…
