🔌 Dorman 901-342 Front Driver Side Door Mirror Switch - Upgraded Option for Ford / Lincoln Models with Improved Functionality Review

Installed on my 2004 F150 FX4 (new body style). It works fine but it seems the directional control is backwards. So when I push the button to the left, I expect the mirror to move outward, away from the car, but it's the exact opposite. Same thing happens when raising or lowering, pressing the up button lowers the mirror. Is the same whether I have it in "L" or "R". It's kinda weird. I bought my truck used, all functions worked with factory switch except power on. After playing around with the switch many times, I was never able to get the power to bend it. I pulled the switch once, reinstalled it, and it only worked once. I had never heard of the mirror actuators working, so I assumed the mirror actuators themselves had failed. Obviously not so I buy this aftermarket switch and now everything works as before. I bought a used like new version and it has not let me down.

Although the product description says this switch will NOT fit my 2007 Eddie Bauer EL Expedition fits, I ordered it anyway because it turned out to be identical to the defective switch. It was the perfect replacement and solved my problem. The only difference is that this switch has a fold in/out setting and my Expedition doesn't have folding side mirrors, but that doesn't seem to make much of a difference in terms of fit and functionality.
