Worthless Sensor Supposedly for Cars

Based on our own experience, this exterior temperature sensor is a waste of money. Although it's marketed for automotive use, it failed to perform accurately right out of the box. The only positive aspect is that it was easy to install. Unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for its lack of functionality. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this product.

Pros
  • Accurate temperature readings for exterior temperature monitoring.
Cons
  • Difficult to install for inexperienced users.

Does what it says on the tin

I have a 2014 Mustang V6 and have always wondered why the outside temp is always reading 50 degrees. This temp was changing from time to time (up to -37 degrees at one point) so I figured it must be a faulty outside temp sensor. I found and ordered the correct OEM part number. When it arrived it was quickly…

Pros
  • Direct replacement for correct fit
Cons
  • Negative impression

So far, so good! - Ambient Temperature

I ordered this outside temperature sensor for a 2013 Ford Mustang GT. The old sensor showed a constant 50 degrees regardless of the actual outside temperature. The OBD2 diagnostics revealed that the old sensor is defective. Installation was easy, but took a while. The hardest part of the installation was accessing the sensor. On the Mustang, it's on the driver's side behind the lower grille. I had to remove under the front of the car and the underbody protection which is held in place with…

Pros
  • Handy and practical
Cons
  • Damaged
