Deceptively easy repair

Sprinter 2006 I spent hours thinking about what I could best replace. then found that all it took was a straight head screwdriver and a 1/4" open end wrench. Literally 15 minutes of work. Looks exactly like the original and I suspect Dorman just made sure the seam of the In all my research on the Sprinter forums, no one has complained about Dorman part failures

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Better sealing than original part.

Purchased to replace an original Sprinter resonator which developed a crack resulting in loss of boost pressure. Relatively easy to R&R, be patient and use a box wrench on the bottom to remove the two mounting screws, then unscrew a tie and pull out the top and back part. For those who want a more durable resonator without losing the damping characteristics of the original, this is the way to go!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Intervals

AIR LEAK! in Motor Parts

I bought this 'exchange' spare part for my Navion 07' with a Mercedes diesel. It didn't go over 40 mph due to a cracked and leaking turbo resonator. This aftermarket TR had great reviews so I bought it and took it with the RV to a Dodge dealership for installation. The service manager said it's a little noisier than the original but not much and works hard. After a 30 mile drive home and then a 20 mile drive to tag it, Revain's TR is now leaking!

Pros
  • Surprisingly
Cons
  • There are defects

Again on the street. in Spare parts

I love this product! I have an RV that has only given me problems. This is a Winnebago View with a Dodge frame and Mercedes engine. I'm not very mechanical by nature, but I'm tired of throwing money at people in a collective effort to extort money. I was driving my camper, the car was running great, and all of a sudden it wouldn't hit 2000rpm and I couldn't get to 70km/h on the Autobahn with the pedal all the way down. I stopped and parked the car and it worked fine for the rest of our tripโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are nuances

Looks good. Better than stock!

Installed one of these on my 2004 van and am very happy with the build. The seam seems very strong. The stitching on the original was clearly torn, and the van went into "idle" mode 4 times (including 1 time on the Autobahn! 8-O). I wanted to try the $139 bypass unit and decided against it as there might be a reason a German engineer installed this in the intake tract. Also, I can buy 2 almost 1/2 times more and I haven't heard of any of them failing. Not bad when installed. If using a creeper,

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say
