The end of the dipstick broke off after only 12 months

I purchased and installed this dipstick on my 2003 Camry in January 2019. A year later I discovered that the tip of the dipstick was completely broken off when I pulled it out to check the oil. This is a serious problem. I did an oil change; Although I didn't find the entire end of the dipstick, I did find a few small fragments in the oil. DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Direct replacement for a specific application
Cons
  • Available in white only

Works well, slightly stiffer than original OEM

The dipstick was the right size and had a yellow handle. The only thing I noticed is that when it's fitted and you drive the car a bit and then pull the dipstick, you'll find that the metal dipstick is bent, so no elasticity like the original factory dipstick. . So after you've taken it off and put it back in to check the oil, it feels a little tight when you pull it out and retract it. Otherwise it works great.

Pros
  • Clear markings on stem promise easy oil level reading
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
