Dorman 917 532 ABS Wheel Sensor Review

Through trial and error, I found that this ABS sensor was the perfect replacement for my old one. The installation was a breeze and my car's braking is now more responsive than ever. The sensor is also durable and built to last.

It took me 2 hours with the right tools to replace a broken front ABS tone ring on my 2005 Escape. A certified mechanic will tell you that the assembly it belongs to needs to be replaced (this is the official, "correct" way and costs over $400), but with a little technical know-how you can do it for Get $8 done. and some elbow grease. Search the internet for tutorials on how to do this - basically you need wrenches, a wire brush, a blowtorch and some time. (Although the PB Blaster helps too!)

As usual, the Dorman part is exactly the same as the OEM part (minus the disconnect! Ha!) Removing a wheel hub is actually easier than it looks if you have the right tools. Watch some videos. There are several good ones that show how to do the job. Have it and save money instead of going to the shop!
