looks like VW changed the design and the dealer is charging me a very high fee.

This is the middle part, it usually falls over when it hits the curb in the park. One was replaced by a dealer about 5 years ago, the factory part didn't fit very well, looks like VW changed the design and the dealer is charging me a very high price plus labour. However this aftermarket part was perfect for my 2003 New Beetle Turbo, all you need is just a torx screw to remove the old part, easily insert the new part and secure. a few minutes of work. very happy with my purchase at this price…

Seems to fit a 2001 Golf snugly

I bought this for a 2001 VW Golf. The fender fitted perfectly and appeared to be an exact replacement. I had no problem installing it with the existing left and right fenders. The reason I put 4 runs instead of 5 is a hardware issue. The screws were found, but the clitoris given to screw in the screws didn't work. They were made to fit in a square metal bracket.
