This shock absorber is an ideal replacement for the stock shock absorber in your car. The original literally crumbled to dust. It looked like it hadn't been painted to resist corrosion. This replacement is colored. The studs are much longer than the original bracket but there were no problems.

I used these to replace cracked/rusted aluminum brackets on the back of our 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan. The factory brackets are bare aluminum and one of them was torn in two and the other was about to do the same. I used them to fix the problem while also adding KYB 344610 GR-2 shocks. I cut off a coil spring so the car is a little lower in the back. Worked great.
