Works and looks great on a 1998 Ford Explorer glass skylight

I was able to fit the hinges fairly easily, just needed a bit of drilling in one of the holes. The new hinge has a slightly larger screw to attach it to the door. Looks like the original and protects my glass door very well on my old 1998 Explorer. Thank you for providing it. The old hinges broke three days ago while working with the local youth and I couldn't wait to get them fixed before the glass door broke.

The idea is to install them safely. Renew shock absorbers too!

Perfect match for my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport! Just another part that you will definitely need to replace at some point. The glass is heavy and can be uncomfortable and will break if dropped so I found a way to put it on. Remove ONE and replace by tightening the glass side only. Secure the glass with blue painter's tape as securely as needed. Carefully open the sunroof and attach the other side to the body. Repeat for the other side. Better version than OEM but not interchangeable. It requires very little customization to work.

Very well made. They include all mounting nuts, spacers and foam bushings to complete assembly. Heavier construction than OEM hinges. But the new hinges do not fit the normal sized holes in the hatch body. You will need to ream them to 1/4 inch to fit. I didn't know it before I started, but I had all the tools and skills I needed to do it. My first clue was when the new locknuts holding the hinges to make the sunroof were 11mm instead of the OEM 10mm. Pulled the first one out to put in a spare…
