Great resistance for manual GM systems.

Better wiring than cheap resistors. Very good resistance for manual GM systems. (9C1) 04 Impala with manual heat and air conditioning.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

This solved my problem and was easy to install

Life in the northern United States is tough with a car that barely gets hot. This solved my problem and was easy to install.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works great with relays

Fittings appear to work well. The only problem I had was that all the videos explaining how to change them had 2 screws holding them in place. I didn't have any screws but it looks like they melted a plastic bolt to hold it in place. I had to cut it off and put screws in it to hold it up.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Quick Instructions

Good product, works as expected.

Really good product, works like factory fan motor resistor. There are many half-price alternatives out there, but I don't recommend buying unbranded ones. They are much cheaper to build and on my car the heat goes to max mode when the engine is started remotely. Otherwise, the previous resistance will break and not reach the maximum setting. Dorman's new fan motor resistor fixed it and it runs like a champ.

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Having problems

Fixed my air conditioning in the Saab 9-7X

The fan blew very weakly at almost the same speed. Bought hoping it would fix the problem and indeed the fan is blowing like a jet engine again. I connected the wires and twisted them together. It took about an hour to take everything apart and put it back together. It was really a simple project. Only for a week but so far it's working fine. UPDATE: It stopped working after about 60 days. Will swap for a GM OEM part now and you're done. The Dorman's price has also increased and is now almost…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Modern

Will not fit 2007 Chevrolet Impala

This part will not fit my 2007 Chevrolet Impala LT. I paid extra for an OEM style "Direct Replacement for the Right Fit Every Time" part and it didn't fit. And he had a curved fin. In the picture below you can see two resistors side by side. The top is the part that was sent to me. The one below is the original part that was in the car. Pins go through the large holes to align and hold it in place. The small holes are where the screws go. As you can see in the picture, none of the four holes on

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing here
