good replacement: GUR

Very good spare part, do not forget to loosen the straps a little before installing. This will allow you to better align the mounting screws. Difficult place to replace returning but that's not the part's fault. It's on Mr. Toyota. Overall happy customer, saved hundreds.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • The presence of an upgrade

Perfect fit for 2003 Highlander

Item arrived on the expected date and in good condition. Although the piece is about 1 inch longer than the original, there is no fitment issue. The hardest part was pulling the old one off as there wasn't enough room to move both hands to pull the hose out. I had to match the clips that came with the kit to the screw holes. Much cheaper (over 60%) than in auto parts stores. Highly recommended.

Didn't fit in my car even though the Revain search engine said it would.

This part was supposed to fit my 2007 Toyota Highlander but didn't even come close. It can't be the fault of the search engine as this was the part that all the parts dealers said should fit. The power steering return line for 2006 and later models fits perfectly. Unfortunately I decided to try and modify this part to make it work and ended up messing it up so it couldn't be returned. The car was disassembled so I figured I really didn't have a choice.

Slightly different: return hoses

The part worked great, but. It doesn't 100% match my 2005 Highlander. Brackets need to be moved. I put this part on top of the old one. Brackets oiled for smoothness and adapted to the old part. The metal tube appears to be about an inch longer than the old one, causing the brackets to be a bit out of place. On the other hand it has kinks etc like an OEM part. That little extra length isn't a problem unless you connect them to the hoses and then find that your brackets don't line up with the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

Dorman 979-116 GUR Return

02 Highlander. I had to remove the passenger wheel and a small plastic panel in the wheel well. The only issue with this line is that the centers of the mounting clips were offset by about an inch. Put the old and new lines side by side to check what I should have done. I couldn't move the post's side clamp to the right an inch because it was too tight. But this one will be the easier one to move away from the two. I used a length of short 3/8 hose with a plug on the end to prevent spilling out
