Crimps don't hold cables

Fits well and comes with brake line bracket but crimps from metal socket to flex cable are not tight enough so the cable collapses when the parking brake is applied it becomes the brake not fully actuate. Changed to another one and the same thing.

Terrible. A hook that attaches to the parking brake mechanism.

Terrible. The hook attached to the parking brake mechanism is too long to apply the parking brake because the hook is at the other end of the cable. See photo which shows a longer hook assembly than the original part. As a result, DOESN'T WORK.

Better than OEM!: Parking

High quality, good price, easy to install. The only problem I had was getting the clips to attach properly. The bezel appears to be a little thicker than the clips would allow. But a few little things and everything fell into place. These cables are manufactured to a higher specification than OEM parts and offer much better performance. We recommend.

Works well with modification

I bought this for my 2002 Ford F250 and my experience seems to be similar to other negative experiences listed in the reviews. For me, every time I step on the brake, the end of the cable that goes into the lever pops out. In the end I had to drill a small hole in the end of the cable and put in a washer and cotter pin to keep it in place. A much easier solution if I knew I had to do it on the bench, but a bit more difficult when I'm on a truck.

Save yourself the trouble! Not the best substitute. Use ACDelco 18P2925.

Revain lists this Dorman aftermarket replacement for the 2001 Ford F250 SD Right Rear Cab Brake Cable Extension. It is 2 inches too long at the front end, causing the right rear drum to come loose. My Ford dealer has successfully used an ACDelco 18P2925 cable which I bought after comparing it to the original Ford cable. No problem! Revain lists this GM part as an alternative replacement part for the Ford right rear brake cable. It should be the only right choice! By the way, the Dorman left…
