Description of Dorman C660556 Parking Brake Cable

Inner cables are sheathed and lubricated to provide longer life and improved performance. Flexible casings are completely covered with conduit to prevent corrosion of interior cables. Zinc plated fittings and clips prevent corrosion. Brackets included where applicable.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT: Faulty Automotive Brake Cable

I installed this brake cable on my car and was expecting smooth, precise functionality, only to be sorely disappointed. The cable was faulty from the start and caused several issues on the road. It ended up requiring repair which made me spend more money than I had planned.

It's an electronic brake cable. And it works.

Installed on my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I'd like to say it was easy, but it's not. Study this work before you start, it is very difficult for the electronic brake cable. You need to remove the back seat and roll up the carpet to install and also attach to the armrest. The cable had to be pushed a bit and pulled with a screwdriver to seat on the brake lever, but once that happened I pulled the pin and the tray pulled the end of the cable. I bought new E-Brake adapters because all of the…
